ABOUT ME
Human-first quality systems. Professionalism without the fluff.
About Daniel.

With over 20 years of experience across life sciences, healthcare, aviation, and food industries, I've built my career helping organizations untangle complete quality challenges and replace them with clarity, structure, and confidence.
I'm a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR), with a B.S. in Business Administration (Patient Safety & Quality) and an A.S. in Dietetic Technology.

Throughout my career, I’ve led high-stakes inspections, developed company-wide training and audit programs, managed QMS integrations across seven facilities, and built supplier management systems that hold up under scrutiny.
But titles and deliverables aside—my real strength lies in understanding people. I build systems that actually work, because they’re built for real teams in the real world.

What I Value
I believe quality should drive progress—not paperwork. I’m detail-oriented, but deeply human in my approach. That means I don’t just hand over templates—I listen, adapt, and build with you. Clients know me for being calm under pressure, grounded in purpose, and focused on collaboration. I find joy in working closely with stakeholders to create solutions that align with both the regulations and the vision of the business.

My Gallup Strengths—Discipline, Consistency, Deliberative, Futuristic, and Empathy—reflect exactly how I work: thoughtful, steady, curious, and committed to the long game.

The Journey Behind the Work
I grew up in New York’s Hudson Valley, the son of a Dutch immigrant. I fell in love with aviation at a young age, took private pilot’s lessons, and began a career in aerospace quality. That early path led me across 20 countries and into the high-precision world of public safety and compliance.

Later, a personal experience with weight gain sparked my interest in health and nutrition. I returned to school to study dietetics, eventually working clinically in the Mass General Brigham system, while continuing to advance my aerospace and regulatory career. I eventually combined these disciplines by earning a degree in Patient Safety & Quality—bringing together clinical care, systems thinking, and quality management.

Since then, I’ve led corporate compliance initiatives, developed inspection readiness frameworks, and supported acquisitions, eQMS rollouts, and continuous improvement strategies across diverse industries.

Outside the Office
When I’m not thinking about systems and process flow, I can be found playing outside - running, cycling, hiking (you name it!), cooking whole-food plant-based meals, strength training, playing guitar, gardening, or traveling with my wife and two children. Personal growth and connection are core to who I am—professionally and personally.
